John Robert Butcher

Mr. John Robert Butcher, age 66 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Butcher was born on June 8, 1942 in Erie County, New York to the late Orville Lancelot and Madeline Jane Carlie Butcher. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert John Butcher. Mr. Butcher served in the U.S. Army and was a production supervisor with Amoco Plastic Manufacturing. He was a beloved husband and father and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife: Lucille E. Butcher, Cleveland; son: Mike Butcher, Cleveland; sisters: Vivian Larter, Springville, NY and Sharon Johnson, Boston, NY; granddaughter: Sophia Rose Butcher, Cleveland; and daughter in law: Tigree Butcher, Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 12:15 pm on Friday, February 13, 2009 from the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with the Father Thad Rudd officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
