John Edward House

John Edward House, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence.   Mr. House was born on July 2, 1932, in Winder, Georgia to the late Garnett and Mary Jane Beck House. He retired from General Motors with 25 years of service and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he was a hero of Chosin, and earned the Purple Heart award during the Korean War. Mr. House was preceded in death by his brother, J.D. House; sister, Francis Simms.   Survivors include his wife, Gloria M. House; daughters, Brenda Davis, Donna House, and Sherry Brawner, all of Georgia; son, John “Sonny” House, Jr., Arizona; son of the heart, Richard Duceatt, Georgia; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.   Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M.
