John Tracy Imhoff, age 86 of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on October 25, 2019.Mr. Imhoff was born on February 5, 1933, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Virgil Tracey and Virginia Pyles Imhoff. After four years in the Air Force, John began a distinguished career with the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired as the Deputy Chief of Air Traffic Operations at the Southwest Region headquarters in Ft. Worth, TX. He then became an instructor at the FAA Mike Munroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. After moving to Florida in 1989 he was an instructor at the FAA’s Center for Management and Executive Leadership in Palm Coast until 1994. John was an avid golfer at Killearn Country Club in Tallahassee, Florida. He enjoyed several trips to Europe with his wife, Sandy, in recent years; and many trips to visit family in Texas, Colorado, Ohio, Washington and Virginia.Survivors include his wife, Sandra E. “Sandy” Imhoff, Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Cathy Fritsche (Ron), San Angelo, TX; Anne Darden (Randy), Arlington, TX; Christina Walters, Shreveport, LA; Courtney Imhoff, Arlington, TX; Sandy Franks, Arlington, TX; Charity Watson (Jim), Arlington, TX; sons, John M. Imhoff (Stacia), Dallas, TX; Tom Imhoff (Cathy), Arlington, TX; step-son, Andrew Maney (Ansley), Dothan, AL; sister, Carol Sue Imhoff, Lancaster, OH; brother, Charles Imhoff (Margie), Lancaster, OH; mother-in-law, Estelle Whitley, Dahlonega, GA; sisters-in-law, Anne Whonic, Evans, GA; and Lynn Schneider (Mark), Everett, WA; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery, Dahlonega, GA. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M.
