John "Jack" Oliver Snyder

John “Jack” Oliver Snyder, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, May 01, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.   Mr. Snyder was born October 14, 1929 in Slippery  Rock, PA to the late Helen Emma Badger Snyder and Elvy Floyd Snyder. He was an Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance Company and was a member of the First Christian Church in Fort Myers, FL. Mr. Snyder was an avid gardener, he loved walking in the woods, he was very generous and was ready to lend a hand to help any one  that needed help. He was preceded in death by his sister Helen Ruth Snyder, brothers Paul Snyder, Elvy James Snyder and Neil Snyder.   Survivors include his wife, Gail Snyder, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and John Curry, Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Glenda Snyder, Cumming; grandchildren, Elisabeth Curry, Augusta; Katie Curry, Moorhead, MN; Ryan Snyder, Atlanta; Heather Gravitt, Gainesville.   Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.   In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
