John Knox Westmoreland Sr

Mr. John Knox Westmoreland Sr. age 93 of Sautee passed away Wednesday February 20, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Prim will officiate. Interment will be in Nacoochee United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Westmoreland was born in White County the son of the late George Washington Westmoreland Sr. and Sallie Simmons Westmoreland. He was a member of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. Survivors include is wife, Sue Westmoreland, Sautee; daughter and son in law, Doris and Harold Turner, Cleveland; son, John Knox (Johnny) Westmoreland Jr., Sautee; grandchildren, Sherri Turner, Terry and Kim Westmoreland; great grandchildren, Will and Tara Loudermilk; great great grandchildren, Sarah Brooke Loudermilk, Emma Loudermilk.
