Joseph Roy Green, Jr.

Joseph Roy “JR” Green, Jr., age 80, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Mr. Green was born on March 30, 1942, in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late Joseph Roy Green, Sr. and Ella Louise Kelley Green. He was a hearing consultant for 47 years with GA Hearing Professional Consultant. JR was also a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Roy Green III, and brother, Mark Edward Green. Survivors include his wife, Kathyleen Green, Cleveland; sons, Richard Allen Green, Jacksonville, GA, and Christopher David Green (Teresa), Cleveland, GA; 3 grandchildren, Jake Green, Luke Green, and Patrick Garland; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shelia Green; sister-in-law, Ruthie Jackson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Clara and Allen Hill; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Joyce Selph, and Tommy and Frances Selph. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery on Tesnatee Gap Valley Road. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
