Joseph R. Sosebee Jr.

Joseph “Jackie” R. Sosebee Jr., age 75 of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Jackie was born January 4, 1945 to the late Joseph R. Sosebee Sr. and Nellie Sosebee. He was formerly in the logging industry and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was of the Christian Faith Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sosebee, Cleveland; son, Joseph R. Sosebee III, Cleveland; daughter, Jacqueline Sosebee, Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, James and Carolyn Sosebee; sisters, Jeanette Newton; Delores Ansley; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Earl Dean Anderson; 2 grandchildren; aunt, Katherine Sosebee; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2020 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Milton Harris and the Rev. Lewis Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Monroe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
