Josiah (Joe) Lively Lll

Joe Lively III was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Sumter, South Carolina, to Joe I. Lively Jr. and Billie Spencer Lively. He went to be with his Lord on April 8, 2016. He was a longtime resident and active community leader in Bradenton, Florida, where he worked as a home builder with his father, who owned Garden Homes, Inc. Upon the retirement of Joe Jr., Joe III assumed duties of the company. He formed Lively Builders and, with his wife, Peggy, created Lively Kitchen. They attended First Baptist Church. In 2009, they moved to the mountains of Cleveland. There, they joined First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Joe enjoyed model trains, baseball (Tampa Bay Rays), traveling, fishing, but most of all family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Peggy Sawyer Lively; daughter, Debbie L. Driggers of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Joe I. Lively IV (Denise) of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Bobbi Lively Coleman (Bob) of Ormond Beach, Florida; sister-in-law, Penny Sawyer Pier (William "Rocky") of Bradenton; four nephews; and one niece. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cleveland on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church of Cleveland, 25 Church St., Cleveland, GA 30528, or to Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202.
