Josie L. Dzikowski

Josie Dzikowski age 90, of Sautee passed away Sunday April 9, 2017.   Mrs. Dzikowski was born September 25, 1926 in Augusta, GA to the late John Lester Ivey and Savannah Ivey. She was preceded in death by her husband David Dzikowski, son David G. Dzikowski, grandson, Jason Dzikowski, daughter-in-law, Toni Dzikowski and brothers, Johnny, Carl and Robert Ivey. She was a devoted military wife and mother. Married for over 60 years, she lived a full and joyous Christian life and never met a stranger. Josie had a giving heart “the size of Texas”, she showed love and compassion to everyone she met.   Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Davette and Jim Meissner, Monroe; Toni and Ricky Wike, Sautee; Melinda and Randy Winn, Lawrenceville; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cindy Dzikowski, Cleveland; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.   The family would like to extend a special acknowledgement to the staff at Gateway Health and Rehabilitation Center for all their compassionate care of their beloved mother.   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gateway Health and Rehab Activities, 3201 Westmoreland Rd.
