Joyce Palmer Nix

Mrs. Joyce Palmer Nix, age 88 of Cleveland. Joyce passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 following a period of declining health. Joyce was born in White County on December 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Spence Palmer and Beatrice Robinson Palmer. Joyce was a homemaker and member of Zion Interdenominational Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Russell Nix, son Les Nix as well as her brother Joel Palmer. Joyce will be fondly remembered as a woman of faith who loved her God and her family, a wonderful and loving mother to her son, Les and especially her grandson Elijah. Survivors include her grandson, Elijah Nix; daughter in law, Kelli Nix Miley as well as her brother, Jerry Palmer and sisters, Judy Blankeship and Janice Morton. A small intimate funeral service is scheduled for 3:00pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate, and interment will follow in Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery.
