J.T. Cantrell

J.T. Cantrell, age 73, of Dahlonega, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Mr. Cantrell was born on July 11, 1949, in White County, to Mary Lois Helton and the late James Wesley Cantrell. In addition to his father, J.T. was preceded in death by his nephew, Kyle Martin. Survivors include his sons William Scott Cantrell (Melissa Garrett), Dahlonega, and Christopher Bryan Cantrell, Dahlonega; granddaughter, Brooklyn Cantrell; great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Murray; mother, Mary Lois Helton Cantrell, Dahlonega; sisters, Martha Mae Coker, Dahlonega, Shirley Marie Shubert (Doug), Dahlonega, Janie Potts (Ronnie), Cleveland, and Beverly Rebecca Martin, Dahlonega; brothers, Earl Wesley Cantrell, Dahlonega, and Marvin Wayne Cantrell, Dahlonega. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Phillip Robinson and the Rev. Darrin Cain will officiate. Interment will follow in Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
