Kate Ledford Howard

Mrs. Kate Ledford Howard, age 74 of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Oak Heritage Nursing Center following an extended illness. Born in Habersham County, Georgia on December 06, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Julie Allison Ledford. Mrs. Howard was a Banking Officer for many years with United Community Bank in Cleveland and was a member of Loudsville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert “Bob” Howard, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Bentley and Donna Howard, Cleveland; granddaughters and grandson-in-laws, Minda and Clay Christy, Brandy and Nathan McIntyre, all of Cleveland; grandson, Chris Howard, Clarkesville; sisters, Annette Underwood, Wilma Barrett, both of Cleveland; Henrietta Herrin, Demorest; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Black officiating. Burial will follow in Gateway Memorial Park.
