Kenneth Wayne Beard

Kenneth Wayne Beard, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.   Mr. Beard was born on November 1, 1935, in Bearden, Arkansas, to the late Roscoe and Margaret Beard.  Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He and Judy McIlveene were married on June 6, 1958 and celebrated 60 years of marriage.  Mr. Beard worked for a poultry company where he was transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah, Columbus, Indiana, and finally settled in Georgia in 1975.  He worked for Lumpkin County Park and Rec where he retired in 1975.  Kenneth loved sports and coached baseball and softball for many years.  He has taught many children how to play ball.   Survivors include his wife, Judith Beard, Cleveland; children, Lisa Abercrombie Jarrard and David Jarrard, Cleveland, Kathy and John Cooper, Flowery Branch, Dana and Larry Vandiver, Lula, and Mark and Abby Beard, Flowery Branch; grandchildren; Jeremy and Brittani Abercrombie, Daniel and Crystal Abercrombie, B.J. Jarrard, Seth and Miranda Vandiver, Ethan and Ashley Vandiver, Tyler and Jessica Cooper, Lindsey Cooper, Bailey and Cady and Brittany Beard; great grandchildren, Carson Abercrombie, Wyatt Abercrombie, Gabe, Seth, and Annie Kate Vandiver, Xander, Asa and Reed Vandiver, and Emma Johnson.   Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev.
