Lamar Allen

Lamar Allen, age 70 of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Allen was born September 20, 1940 in Habersham County to the late Bill and Ethel Hicks Allen. He was the owner and operator of Allen Trucking, a Veteran of the United States Army and was preceded in death by his brother Ernest Allen, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Fannie Mae Wade. Survivors include his wife, Christine Allen, Cleveland; son, Steven Allen, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Marie Allen, Gainesville; Donald and Judy Allen; Clarkesville; Wayne and Cindy Allen, Clarkesville; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dean Cross, Buford; grandson, Mitchell Allen, Monroe. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday from Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Flynn, the Rev. John Graham, and the Rev. J.D. Sosebee will officiate.
