Lamar Ramey

Mr. Lamar Ramey age 66 of Cleveland passed away Sunday December 1, 2013 at Northeast Ga Medical Center. Mr. Ramey was the son of the late Dewey and Para Lee Garrett Ramey. He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Ramey and Dennis Ramey. Mr. Ramey was a truck driver and member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Linda Ramey, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Ricky and Michelle Ramey. Cleveland; son, Scott Ramey, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Rhonda and Randy Fields, Cleveland, Mickey and Mitchell Smiley, Thomaston; grandchildren, David Kidd, McClane Ramey, Ethan Ramey, Morgan Fields, Hannah Smiley, Shelton Ramey, Molly Fields, Gage Smiley, Gavin Smiley, Hayley Smiley, Kayley Smiley; great grandchild, Natasha Kidd; brothers, Wayne Ramey, Donnie Ramey, both of Cleveland, Eddie Ramey, Warne, NC; and Kevin Partin whom he loved as a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday December 3, 2013 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson, the Rev. Eddie Ramey, the Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Jerry Whitlock will officiate. Interment will be at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
