Larry Glenn Harkins

Mr. Larry Glenn Harkins, age 59 of Cleveland died Monday, September 8, 2008 at Habersham County Medical Center following an brief illness. Mr. Harkins was born in White County, the son of the late Joe and Gladys Allison Harkins. He was also preceded in death by friend, Jr. Sutton. He was a veteran of Vietnam, having served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: sisters: Helen Hood, Faye Turner, both of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law: Billy and Gerri Harkins, Shannon, NC; special friends: Wayne Dorsey, Brenda and Hal Barrett, all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronnie Dockery and Rev. Aubrey McIntyre will officiate. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors by the White County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-9 pm on Wednesday.
