Larry "Sam" David Thomas

Larry “Sam” David Thomas, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in Glasgow, Kentucky, while deer hunting, the hobby he enjoyed most. Mr. Thomas was born on March 12, 1953, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Jody and Lula Mae Wood Thomas. He worked for the White County Water Authority as a heavy equipment operator. Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He was loved by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Homer Thomas, Edith Hunt, Sarah Dockery, and Dorothy Jean Stelmachers. Survivors include his wife, Ann Thomas; daughter, Shelia Thomas; sons, David Thomas and Chris Thomas; grandchildren, Levi, Cody, Christopher, Bailey, and Lauren Thomas; siblings and spouses, James and Joanne Thomas, Buddy and Judy Thomas, Mike and Kathy Thomas, Melanie and Phil Young, Shelia and Randy Simmons, and Martha Grindle; brother-in-law, Donald Hunt; sister-in-law, June Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, November 14, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
