Latrelle Nix Edwards

Latrelle Nix Edwards, age 73, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018.  Mrs. Edwards was born in Hall County and lived most of her life in Cleveland. She was a retired White County School Teacher and a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church.  Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her father, John L. Nix. Survivors include son, Chris Edwards, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Salvador Barcenas, Gainesville; mother, Sarah Highsmith Nix, Gainesville; grandchildren, Payton Edwards, Christian Edwards, Brycen Garrett, and Hudson Garrett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Cathy Nix, Gainesville and Ed and Betty Nix, Greenville, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11am Saturday, October 13, 2018 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Bucky Erwin and Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday, October 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
