Laverne Homer Holeman

Laverne Homer Holeman, age 88 of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.   Mr. Holeman was born on March 6, 1930, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Homer H. and Bertha Wheeler Holeman. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the White County Honor Guard. Laverne was also a member of Norcross Masonic Lodge #228.   Survivors include his wife, Norma Holeman, Cleveland; sister, Ruth Hunt, Cleveland; nieces, Geleta Hunt, Cleveland, and Linda Norton, Perry; great nieces, Laura Shivers, Broken Arrow, OK, Lisa Norton, Denver CO, Lindsey Porter, Perry, and Claire Stovall, Atlanta.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
