L.D. Adams

Mr. L.D. Adams, age 74, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-9 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Adams was born on December 2, 1934 in White County to the late Archie and Martha Pruiett Adams. He was also preceded in death by his son in law Roger Reed. Mr. Adams was a construction worker and member of Mt. View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Barbara Adams, Cleveland; daughter, Donna Reed, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law. Stanley and Jeannie Adams, Mt. Airy; Tim and Jill Adams, Clarksville; sister and brother in law Wanda and Cecil Crane, Cleveland; 22 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
