Lela Adeline Hopper

Mrs. Lela Adeline Hopper age 97 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Oaks at Scenic View following an extended illness. Mrs. Hopper was born in Towns County the daughter of the late Jasper and Ollie Adeline Hooper Benfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Hopper and sons, Jack Hopper and Joe Hopper. Mrs. Hopper was a homemaker and member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Skipper Haney, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Jerri and Allen Brinkman, Dekalb, IL., Wanda and Jerry Vandiver, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, James and Linda Hopper, Clarkesville; daughter in law, June Hopper, McDonough; sister, Ida Barrett, Hiawassee; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday February 19, 2011 at Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Vandiver, the Rev. Lamar Kastner and the Rev. Bill Trotter will officiate.
