Leon Worth Arrowood

Leon Arrowood, age 68 of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Arrowood was born April 5, 1945 in Homer, GA to the late Worth and Mary Eller Arrowood. He was a truck driver for Candler Concrete and a Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of Christian Baptist Church. Mr. Arrowood was preceded in death by his brothers, Bud Arrowood and Bobby Arrowood, and sister, Iva Lee Pilgrim. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Arrowood, Dahlonega; son, William Jeffery Arrowood, Demorest; daughter, Tracey Arrowood, Hollywood; step-son and wife, Tony and Trudy Sears, Dahlonega; step-daughter and husband, Juanita and Kenneth Turner, Cleveland; sisters, Betty Croy, Cornelia, Lou Watson, Dalton, Linda Morris, Cornelia, Gracie Mae Arrowood, Oakwood; brothers, Charles Grady Arrowood, Cleveland, and Harvey Arrowood, Cleveland; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11AM Friday, September 27, 2013 at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Pilcher and Rev. Steve Ford will officiate. Interment will follow at Christian Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
