Leonard Paul Halphen

Mr. Leonard Paul Halphen age 68 of Cleveland passed away Sunday February 24, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Halphen was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana the son of the late Fabio George Halphen Jr. and Marguerite Planchard Halphen. He had the soul of a Poet, heart of a Lion, mind of an Engineer and his spirit lives on. Mr. Halphen was a retired Engineer with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and an avid LSU and Saints fan. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Ellen Halphen, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Abbi and Anthony Francis, River Ridge, LA., Tami and Lt. Col. Brian LeJeune, Fort Gordon; son and daughter in law, Gerry and Christy Halphen, Alpharetta; grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Adam, Emily, Ethan, Olivia and Paige; 12 brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday February 28, 2013 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
