Leonard "Steve" Smith

Mr. Leonard Steve Smith, age 58, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. Mr. Smith was born in Gainesville the son of the late Alfred and Pauline Roach Smith.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Tolbert, sister, Mildred Farkas, brothers, Gene Smith and Randall Smith.  Mr. Smith was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was employed at Simpson Trucking.  Survivors include his wife, Lynn Smith, Cleveland; son, Chandler Smith, Lula; son and daughter in law, Duston and Amanda Flanagan, Clermont; daughter, Crystal Stephens; step daughters and sons in law, Christy and Michael Wallace, Gainesville, Casey and Tony Hallett, Lincoln, Maine; grandchildren, Megan Flanagan, Morgan Flanagan, Macy Flanagan, Brooklyn Stephens, Jesse Stephens, John Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Emily Wallace; sisters and brothers in law, Doris and Buford Lewis, Cornelia, Charlotte and W.C. Mayo, Gainesville, Barbara and Kenneth Rogers, Cleveland; brother, Alfred Smith Jr., Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Buddy and Elainia Smith, Clarkesville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Chris Ellis will officiate. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
