Lillian Beatrice Dean

Mrs. Lillian Beatrice Ramey Dean, age 80 of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Dean was born in White County to the late Jess and Ora Bell Alexander Ramey. She was also preceded in death by her husband James William (Bill) Dean, brothers: Billy Ramey and Thomas Ramey and a sister Narmi Ramey. Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: James and Nanette Dean, Hiawassee, son: Gary Lee Dean, Hiawassee; daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie Lynn and Brad Smith, Mt. Airy and Shirley Mae & Fray Roland, Sautee; and a brother: Johnny Ramey, Clermont; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2009 in the Barrett Chapel with the Rev. George Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Nacoochee Baptist Church Cemetery.
