Lola Mae Allen Gordon

Mrs. Lola Mae Allen Gordon, age 82 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Gordon was born on November 5, 1931 in Habersham County to the late James and Myrtle Sisk Sosebee. She was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Allen; son, John Allen; brothers, Homer Sosebee, Hubert Sosebee, James Sosebee, Idus Sosebee, and Claude Sosebee; sisters, Dollie Allen and Flonia Smith. Survivors include her husband, John Gordon, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mary Joyce Allen, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Mark Taylor, Cleveland; step daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Milton Underwood, Mt. Airy; step son, Johnny Gordon, Hartwell; grandchildren, Joseph Allen, Shawn Westmoreland, Justin Allen, Kale Allen, Cody Allen, and Brad Allen; step grandchildren, Brent Roberts and Fran Chapman; 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Blue Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Milton Harris, Rev. Bill Trotter, Rev. Chris Anderson and Rev. W.A. Trotman will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
