Loraine Savage, age 91, of Clermont, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Mrs. Savage was born on October 6, 1934, in Hall County, to the late Thomas and Hattie Bell Walden. She was the owner of WALH Radio Station. In addition to her parents Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie (Apple) Savage, her brothers, Thomas Walden, Eugene Walden, Spencer Walden, L.B. Walden, Hugh Walden, Harold Walden, and Louis Walden, and her sisters, Hattie Walden, Annie Bell Motes, Sarah Rogers, and Louise Pierce.
Survivors include nephews and nieces, Jimmy Motes, Eddie Pierce, Tommy Walden, Bobby Walden, Ricky Walden, Jason Walden, Darryl Walden, Gail McClellon, Elaine Loggins, Joanne Flanagan, Pam Fuller, Margie Cain, Lisa Kemp, Helen Hicks, Jennifer Whiten, Johnnie Sue Cowart, Melanie Baker, and Phyllis Sullens; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Walden and Mary Walden; many, many beloved great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Dr. Mark Stroud will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
