Lorene Freeman

Lorene Freeman, age 96, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Mrs. Freeman was born on December 13, 1919, in White County, to the late Martha West. She was a home maker and a member of Riverbend Baptist Church. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Freeman; great granddaughter, Anna Grace DeLong; sister, Mary Ferander; and brother, Bill Morris. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Florence Pollen, Vera Beach, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha and Laddy Williamson, Gainesville, and Vivian and Reggie Forrester, Oakwood; son, Richard Freeman, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Theresa Freeman, Murrayville, and Gary and Lisa Freeman, Gainesville; sister, Ethelene Hansard, Knoxville, TN; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Maxi Ladd will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
