Louise Glover Head

Louise Glover Head of Loudsville (Cleveland), GA passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 96.  She was born August 3, 1921 at Loudsville, GA to the late James Fincher and Dora Ledford Glover.  She was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church.      Louise graduated from Cleveland High School and Young Harris College.  After college she  taught school.  During WWII she relocated to Atlanta and worked at the Bell Bomber Plant. After the war she worked at Fisher Body (General Motors) and then became a full time homemaker to raise her children.     After WWII, she married John Tarpley Head (John T.) of Cleveland and the two lived in Decatur GA until 1973 when they moved back to the Loudsville Community of White County, GA.   She returned to work as a para-professional in the White County School System.     She was an avid gardener and loved to grow all types of vegetables and flowers.  She volunteered at Mildred’s Thrift Store at Cleveland United Methodist Church.  She never missed attending Loudsville Campmeeting, which she attend for 96 continuous years.   Her main joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.    The family would like to thank her care givers for their dedication and care:  Pam Bunte, Pam Mimbs, Maryanne Bates and Laura Bardenwerper.     Proceeded in death by husband, John T. Head; brother and sister-in-law, John Moody Glover & Marie Ash Glover and brother, Joseph Porter Glover.    Survivors include children:  Emily Head Bracewell (John), John Tarpley Head, Jr (Desiree’), and Robert (Bob) Glover Head (Joy Parks). grandchildren:  Amy Brooke Bracewell,  Amanda Leigh Bracewell, Annabelle Renea Head and John Tarpley (JT) Head III.  Also survived by sister-in laws Barbara Sosbee Head and Vivian Butoli Glover, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.      The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, December 8 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home in Cleveland, GA.       Funeral Services will be held Saturday. December 9 at Cleveland United Methodist Church at 11 am    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Loudsville Methodist Church cemetery fund, PO Box 1838, Cleveland, GA  30528.   Online condolences can be made to the family at www.barrettfh.com   Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland.
