Mrs. Louise Savage, age 87, of Lula, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 from New Horizons in Gainesville. Mrs. Savage was born in Cleveland to Chester and Wilma Glass Dorsey on September 17, 1927. She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. Jessie Savage; son, Doyle Savage; daughters, Shirley Savage Hulsey, Brenda Head and Christine Gowder; and grandson, Rusty Hulsey. Mrs. Savage was a homemaker, a devoted minister’s wife, and a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include grandchildren, Glenn Gowder, Gainesville, Lynn Gowder, Gainesville, Frances Free, Lula, April Satterfield, Cleveland, Misty Satterfield, Gainesville, Tim Hulsey, Lula, Sherry Oliver, Lula, Corey Hulsey, Clermont, Chad Savage, Lula, and Hunter Savage, Lula; sister, Betty Esford, Cleveland; 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, June 22, 2015 from Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage, Rev. Chris York, Rev. Mike Irvin, Rev. Dean Townley, and Rev. Farrell Presley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the funeral home.
