Lowell "Ron" Trail

Ron Trail, age 84, of Cleveland Ga. went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 30th. Ron was born in Floyd, VA. and moved to Conyers, Ga. with his family. He later retired in Cleveland, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Chester and Esther Trail and his wife Freeda Trail of 59 years. Survivors are his three children, Terry and Connie Trail of Stockbridge, Ga. and Doug and Ginger Trail of Monroe, Ga. and Tammy Trail of Floyd, Va. He has 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Ron was a very successful self-made businessman who owned several businesses over his lifetime. He sponsored and coached Ron’s A’s mens softball team in Conyers. He also coached both boys’ baseball teams and his daughter’s softball team. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved the Braves and UGA football. He and Freeda were members of the Georgia Jeepers Club and enjoyed taking rides in NC, TN, and the North Georgia mountains. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Dr. Shannon Rhodes will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
