Lucille Alexander

Lucille Alexander, age 98, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. Mrs. Alexander was born on July 15, 1918, in Cleveland, GA, to the late Johnny Roberts and Callie Jarrard Potts. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Wesley Alexander; son, G.W. Alexander; granddaughter, Pamela Dawn Alexander; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. The family of Mrs. Alexander would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude to Friendship Health and Rehab. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Tipton, Gainesville, Louise Harkins, Cleveland, Claude and Rita Alexander, Cleveland, and Martha and Gary Dorman, Cleveland; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
