Lucius Charles "L.C." Hood

Mr. Lucius Charles Hood, age 75, of Cleveland, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Mr. Hood was born April 4, 1943, in White County to the late Charles Lucius and Virginia Louise Dorsey Hood.  He was preceded in death by parents, and brothers, Joe Hood and Marvin Hood.  Mr. Hood was a building service worker for the city of Milwaukee and a member of Travis Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his significant other, Suzie Abernathy, Cleveland, GA; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Carlton Barnett, Milwaukee, WI; son, James Hood Sr., Milwaukee, WI; sister, Juanita Hamilton; grandchildren Jonathan “Sonny” Hood, Patrice “Anna” Hood, Ebony Bernard, and James Hood, Jr.; great-granddaughter, De’Nijah Sproles; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive. A Memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 8, 2018 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Reverend Travis Gatson will officiate. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service.
