Luther E. Oliver Jr.

Mr. Luther E. Oliver Jr., age 78 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence.   Mr. Oliver was born in Union Point, GA to the late Ruby Hayes Oliver and Luther E. Oliver Sr. He was an Electronics Technician for AT&T for 32 years and also served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Intrepid. He was preceded in death by his brother Phillip Hayes Oliver.   Survivors include his wife, Patricia Oliver, Cleveland; children and spouses, Margie and Terry Gibbs, Commerce; Kathy and Tony Britt, Monticello; Lisa and Allen O’Neal, Loganville; Linda and Troy Kitchens, Lexington; Stephanie and Mike deJarnette, Roswell; Charles and Robin Bentley; Middletown, VA; sister, Fay Orr, Tucker; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Richard Avery, Diamondhead, MS; former wife, Karen Oliver, Lexington; aunt, Eileen Forbes, Stephens; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 nephews and 1 niece.   The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Barrett Funeral Home.   Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
