Mable Florence Clay

Mrs. Mable Florence Clay 90 of Cleveland passed away Saturday May 9, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. She was 90. Mrs. Clay was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia on March 9, 1919 to the late Henry Roy and Josephine Hatfield. Mrs. Clay was a homemaker and a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clay was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Samuel Clay, son Clifford Clay, two brothers and six sisters. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law Roy and Arlene Clay, Cleveland, Herbert and Shelia Clay, Blairsville; son Samuel Clay Jr. Cleveland and 5 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 12, 2009 at Center Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Phil Parks, Rev. Pearson Pardue, and Rev. Bryan Satterfield will officiate.
