Maeonia Coker

Ms. Maeonia “Mae” Coker, age 93, of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Maeonia was born on November 26, 1932, to the late Ernest and Gertude Brock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Coker and son, Phillip Coker.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Coker and Linda King; grandchildren, Tink Thomas, Chris Coker, Kimberly Coker, Brandon Blackburn, Kyle Blackburn, and Kaylin King; great-grandchildren, Shelby Thompson, Jesse Thomas, Shane Willis, Keerah Sims, Kenyada (KJ) Sims Jr., Kamrehn Sims, Abram Blackburn, and Asher Blackburn; great-great-grandchildren, Raven Willis, Ava Willis, Maggie Willis, Carmen Vogel and Cooper Vogel.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Return Baptist Church in Demorest, GA. Rev. Anthony Shore will officiate. Interment will follow in Return Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will welcome friends from 12:00 PM-1:30 PM, prior to the funeral service, at Barrett Funeral Home.
