Mamie Barrett Brown

Mrs. Mamie Barrett Brown age 90 of Cleveland passed away Monday August 24, 2009 at Northeast Ga Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Brown was born in White County the daughter of the late Lon and Bertie Sutton Barrett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brown, sisters, Maedean Ray, Janet Barrett, brothers, Floyd Barrett, Joe Barrett; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Edith Barrett. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include nephews, Anthony Barrett, Gainesville, Joey Barrett, Cleveland; nieces, Cindy Anderson, Brenda Jacob, both of Florence, Al; great nephew, Doug Cunningham, Atlantic Beach, FL. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 26, 2009 at Gateway Memory Park. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
