Mandy Lou Franklin

Mandy Lou Franklin, age 93, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Mrs. Franklin was born on March 7, 1933, in Blairsville, Georgia, to the late Lee and Flora Phillips Watkins. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, Mandy was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Franklin; daughter, Judy Freeman; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Gooch; sons-in-law, Ronnie Freeman and Donnie Freeman.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn and Loy Gooch, Jeanie Freeman, and Michael Franklin (Sheena Chambers); siblings, Juanita Helton, Mary Peck, and Tommy Watkins; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor and the Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home and again from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, prior to the funeral service.
