Marie Elizabeth Delong

Mrs. Marie Elizabeth DeLong, age 85, of Cleveland passed away, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at a private health care center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2010 from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 P.M. Friday at the funeral Home. Mrs. DeLong was born on March 20, 1924 to the late Earl and Beatrice Chandler Hearn. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Jan and Marc Diaz; granddaughter Margaret Ann White. Mrs. DeLong was a member of the White County Historical Society and Harvest Christian Church. Her favorite hobby was quilting. Survivors include her husband, Archie W. DeLong, Cleveland; daughter Gloria Watson, Duluth; daughter and son in law, Pamela and Bob White, Greensboro, NC; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
