Martha Holden

Mrs. Martha Holden, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. Mrs. Holden was born in Cleveland to the late H.G. Garland and Ruby Kate Hill Staton. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Staton, J.T. Staton, Bill William Staton; sister, Lois Howard; and son-in-law, Donnie Taylor. Mr. Holden was a Kindergarten paraprofessional in the White County School System for 33 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. Survivors include husband of 51 years, Kennith Holden, Cleveland; daughter, Jody Taylor, Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Don Jones, Cleveland; grandchildren, Crate and Kelsey Taylor, Cleveland, TN, Colin Taylor, Demorest, and Paul and Silas Jones, Cleveland; brother, Gene Staton, Cleveland; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and John Lecroy, Greenwood, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Crate Taylor, Rev. Frank Wyatt, and Rev. Collin Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 3-7 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
