Martha Rae Kimsey

Martha Rae Kimsey, age 102 of Helen, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018.   Mrs. Kimsey was born on July 9, 1916, in Gwinnett County, to the late William Oscar Reese and Mattie Jane Kanady Reese. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Baptist Church. Martha Rae was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. (Bill) Kimsey; brothers, Pierce Reese, Joe Reese, George Reese, Frank L. Reese; great-grandson, Greg Hammond.   Survivors include her daughter, Martha Bolinger, Brunswick; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Curtis Ledford, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, William (Bill) and Marti Kimsey, Helen, Joe and Mertice Kimsey, Helen; grandchildren, James Bolinger, Brunswick, Joe Bolinger, Brunswick, Billy Kimsey, Oakwood, Barton Kimsey, Gainesville, Carrie Vandegriff, Sautee Nacoochee, Jana Bartlett, Cleveland, Joy Hammond, Helen, Beth Hildebran, Cleveland; 20 great-grandchildren.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Center Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
