Mary Lois Abernathy

Mrs. Mary Lois Abernathy age 78 of Cleveland passed away Sunday February 3, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Abernathy was born in White County the daughter of the late Henry and Julia Allison Ledford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abernathy, daughter, Diane Savage and sister, Dorothy Ledford. Mrs. Abernathy was a member of Dukes Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Elaine Abernathy, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Alice and Royce Eades, Cleveland, Margie and Jeff Anderson, Dahlonega, Beth and Perry Zimmerman, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Lee Hix, Cleveland, Chad Savage, Lula, Lance and Reva Zimmerman, Clarkesville; sisters, Annette Underwood, Wilma Barrett, Kate Howard, all of Cleveland, Henrietta Herring, Cornelia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday February 5, 2008 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Andy Caldwell, Dr. Don Pruitt and Mr. Ricky Dean will officiate.
