Mary Maudell Ash

Mary Maudell Ash, age 102 of Murrayville, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Ash was born September 30, 1911 in Jackson County to the late Hugh and Easter Annie Grindle Reece. She was a homemaker and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church # 2. Mrs. Ash was preceded in death by her husband Hyatt Ash, son Leonard Ash, grandson Bobby Bartlett and great granddaughters Tabitha Bartlett and Anna Robinson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, J.B. and Jo Ash, Murrayville; daughter, Mary Ann Arrington, Covington; sister, Ruby Pharris, McDonough; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, May 26, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church # 2. The Rev. Les Fuller and the Rev. Tim Hicks will officiate.
