Mary Louise Cox

Louise Sims Cox, age 100, of Sautee, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Mrs. Cox was born on April 30, 1926, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late John and Maude Stamey Sims. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family and the farm. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Kary Cox; and daughter, Karen Ragan.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Janet Cox; daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Carlton Brown, Connie and Jimmy Martin, Catherine and Brian Church; as well as her son-in-law Randy Ragan; grandchildren, Kala and Matthew Dillard, Carla and Carl Williams, David “Dee” and Amber Chambers, DeNova and John Crow, Leland and Whitney Cox, Shelley and Vince Ray, Amy Brown, Daniel and Jocelyn Brown, Melinda and Mike Barnes, Carey and Richie Elliott; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Gateway Memory Park. Pastor Brian Alexander will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:45 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Chattahoochee Community Church Cemetery Fund.
