Mary Lou Black Dalton, age 91, of Cornelia formerly of Cleveland passed away Sunday December 21, 2014.
Mrs. Dalton was born January 25, 1923, in Newry, SC, the daughter of the late Luther and Veatrice McCallister Black. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel E. Dalton, twin daughters, grandson, Daniel “Chris” Dalton, and sister, Ima Jean Black Irvin. Mrs. Dalton was a homemaker and member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter and son- in- law, Marilyn D. and Jimmy Humphries, Cornelia; sons and daughters –in-law, Danny and Janie Dalton, Donald and Donna Dalton, all of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Mike Klaiber, Fountain Inn, SC., grandchildren, Amy Geiger, Jeff Hunphries, Jace Dalton, Jacob Norris, Mary Ann Klaiber, Emma Grace Klaiber, Alexis Klaiber, Melissa Klaiber; great grandchildren, Grayson, Ivy, Will, Sidney, James, McKensie; brothers, Herman Black, Demorest, R.L. Black, Salt Lake City, UT.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday December 23, 2014, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Gravely and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will be in Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
