Mary Ethel Dorsey

Mrs. Mary Ethel Dorsey, age 71 of Cleveland passed away June 30, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Dorsey was born on December 24, 1938 in Rabun County to the late Mattie Strickland and Harold Echols. She was also preceded in death by 1st husband: Dan Dorsey and 2nd husband: Luther Dorsey; brothers: James Strickland and Harold Echols, and a sister: Becky Strickland. She was a textile worker for Clarks Schweble Inc. and a member of Travis Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include: son and daughter in law: Fred Dan (Winifred) Dorsey; son, Shelton Dorsey, Cleveland; daughter and son in law: Myra D. and Glen Haynes, Cleveland; 10 grand children: Dedrick, Trimiar (Ursula), Anita Dorsey (Montoya), Seddrick Dorsey, Leslie D. Thomas, Alia Cheeks, Dorian, Ebony, and Fabian Dorsey, Chaz and Miranda Trammell. great grandchildren: Antonio and Olivia Trimiar, Caleb and KaVonta Dorsey, Cade, Makosia, Michael Trimiar, Dallas Devezin; nephew, Danny Strickland and special friend Donnie Dorsey. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Travis Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Yonah Cemetery.
