Mary Denise Fortner, age 57, of Helen, passed away on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025. She was born on November 16th, 1967 to the late Mary Belle Boston. Mrs. Fortner is preceded in death by her husband Mark Smith. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law; Jordan and Brandi Fortner of Cleveland; Jonathan McTaggart and fiancé Michelle Grubbs of Dahlonega; son, Michael Shane Fortner, Dahlonega; Grandchildren; Breanna Tench, Colton Tench, Matthew Beason, Jonathan Grubbs, Bricen Grubbs and Tyler Grubbs.
