Mrs. Mary Frances Cantrell, 67 of Helen passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Cantrell was born on October 23, 1941 to late James Donald and Edna Nichols Ledford. She was a seamstress and member of Chattahoochee United Methodist Church. Survivors include: son: James Cantrell, Helen; daughters & sons-in-law: Alicia & Mitchell Humphries, Cleveland; Amanda & Bobby Hattaway, Cleveland; daughter: Shelia Cantrell, Helen; granddaughter: Charity Humphries; grandsons: Chandler Hattaway and Chance Humphries; brother: Ray Ledford, Hayesville, NC; brother and sister in law: J.D. & Vivian Ledford, Young Harris; sister and brother in law, Annette and Steve Carpenter, Franklin, NC brothers: David Ledford and Stevie Ledford, both of Hayesville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, August, 14, 2009 at Chattahoochee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Summers and Bobby Hattaway officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Michael Wilkes at graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 5:30 to 9:00 on Thursday.
