Mary Gilstrap

Mary Gilstrap, age 90 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 02, 2015 at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Gilstrap was born February 8, 1925 in Cleveland, GA to the late Minyard and Lydia Nix Gilleland. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Gilstrap, daughter Bertha Gilstrap, brother Jessie Gilleland, sisters Era Pruitt, Minervia Cash, Rachel Winkler, Carrie Hunt and Martha Ella Gilleland. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Rev. Dave Fortner, Cleveland; Sheena and Alvin Burns, Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, Lincoln and Angela Gilstrap, Dahlonega; Butch and Wanda Gilstrap, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Floyd Thomas, Dawsonville; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
