Mary Leone Palmer

Mary Leone Palmer, age 97 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Palmer was born October 17, 1914 in Cleveland, GA to the late William Albert and Bertha Okelley Dorsey. She was a teacher in White County for 38 years and was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Palmer, brothers, Kelley Dorsey, Willard Dorsey, Bernard Dorsey, Rogers Dorsey and sister, Mildred Anderson. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Capps, Cleveland; granddaughter, Anna Capps, Cleveland; sister-in-law, Edith Dorsey, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
